Meet Lisa Harmon, fabrication artist.

I now know that my natural fondness of interior design along with the opening of my Mother’s alteration shop while I was in high school and the accompanying realization that sewing was second nature to me was the start of a journey to my current passion for slipcover fabrication. I had discovered an outlet to my creative instincts and now recognize it as part of my natural life plan.

In 1990, I had an ugly couch and enough denim to cover it; consequently, my first slipcover was born. Since then, my work with many skilled colleagues has covered experiences in nearly every facet of the sewing industry including custom window treatments and bedding. My most loved projects have predominantly been slipcovers.  I recognize this as an affection I needed to share with others who would love to have their furniture slipcovered but may not have the experience I’ve passionately acquired. I’ve enjoyed a 25+ year journey through all the ins and outs, educating myself on the particulars of the process, until I became familiar and comfortable enough with it to fabricate slipcovers by mail using pictures and measurements. All slipcovers are sewn at my in-home workroom.

I aim to blend my knowledge & creativity with your vision to transform your ideas into elegant and functional furniture covers that reflect your style and meet your individual needs. I’ve done the research and compiled a collection of carefully selected fabrics for your slipcover projects. I hope you will visit often for all your slipcover fabrics and fabrication needs.
